As 2005 began, most of MTV2's programming continued moving with the general trend that had already started years earlier. The channel's focus on non-music video programming continued, with most promotion centered around other shows, including a Sic 'Em Friday block of "outrageous" shows.
In 2006, MTV2 expanded this focus by creating a second block of "outrageous" animated block of shows called Sic'emation. In Pacific area, MTV2's schedule is 3 hours less, but shows Sic'emation at the same time as Eastern.
Beavis and Butthead is the only show that has repeats (which mean that MTV2 airs old shows of Beavis and Butthead).
When MTV2 launched Sic'emation, it aired Nickelodeon shows The Ren and Stimpy Show, SpongeBob SquarePants, Invader ZIM, and Kappa Mikey for a short period.
