"Shone" is the first promo single from Flo Rida's second studio album, R.O.O.T.S.. It features Pleasure P and is produced by Jim Jonsin and Dre & Vidal.[1] Before being released as a single, the song was used as a demo; in the demo version Rico Love sang the hook and second verse, both of which he wrote.[1]
A music video for the song was uploaded to MySpace Video on February 23, 2009.[2]
"Shone" peaked at #57 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart,[3] and #81 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.[4] It also peaked at #38 on the Canadian Hot 100.[3]
