Shikkar (Malayalam: ശിക്കാര്; English: The Hunt) is a 2010 Malayalam film starring Mohanlal and Sneha[4] in lead roles, directed by Padmakumar, produced by Tetco Rajagopal and written by S. Suresh Babu. It also has Lakshmi Gopalaswamy, Ananya of Tamil film Naadodigal fame and Mythili in supporting roles. It was a Ramzan release on 9 September 2010, and was a Mega Hit in the box office.

It was reported that Lakshmi Rai had been slated to play the female lead opposite Mohanlal, but as she couldn't adjust her call sheet dates, Sneha was roped in to play the female lead opposite Mohanlal for the first time. Sneha joined the unit on June 3, 2010 in Ramoji Rao Studios at Hyderabad. Late actor Sreenath was initially cast in the role of Mohanlal's friend, but due to artistic differences, he was replaced by Lalu Alex.
Mohanlal plays a lorry driver named Balaraman who has a seasonal job of transporting bamboo from the forest to newspaper factories. The film is located in a place called Chittazha.
The film was mainly shot at various locations in Pooyamkutty near Kothamangalam, Kerala and Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu.
The film opened to packed houses all over Kerala in 101 theatres. It made huge initial collections, pulling in 1.30 crores on its first day. It collected 3.40 crores as distribution share and 8 crores gross in the first 14 days of its release. The film also made 1.90 crores as Satellite rights by Asianet and 2.20 crores as Overseas, Video and Audio rights.[3] Made in a budget of around 5 crores, it turned out to be one of the better grossing Malayalam movies of the year.
It received mixed to positive critical reviews.
Moser Baer Home Entertainment released the DVD and VCD of the film in February 2011 in india.
