Shijiazhuang–Wuhan High-Speed Railway
Shiwu Passenger Railway (simplified Chinese: 石武客运专线; traditional Chinese: 石武客運專線; pinyin: Shíwǔ Kèyùn Zhuān Xiàn) is a 840 km high-speed rail line between Shijiazhuang and Wuhan in China under construction since October 2008. It is expected to be put into service by 2012. The total investment is 116.76 billion yuan. The design speed is 350 km/h (220 mph). It is part of the Jingguang line connecting Beijing and Guangzhou.
The railway crosses the Yangtze in Wuhan over the Tianxingzhou Bridge, which was opened in December 2009.
Track-laying has been started on November 29, 2010.[1]
