Hammerhead: Shark Frenzy is a 2005 Sci-Fi Channel original movie, written by Kenneth M. Badish and Boaz Davidson, and directed by Michael Oblowitz. The film stars William Forsythe, Hunter Tylo, and Jeffrey Combs. The film premiered on Sci Fi Channel June 18, 2005.
A mad scientist revitalizes his dying son by added shark stem cells to his DNA. However, this has left him a mindless mutant shark-man following the animal instincts that now drive him. The father invites his son's girlfriend and a group of other scientists to the island he keeps him at to show him his experiment, but is only given well-deserved disgust and anger at what he had done. The scientist then plans to have the girlfriend become impregnated by his son to create a biological offspring that naturally has the shark qualities in it. However, things go wrong for him as his son bites off one of his arms and two surviving scientists start an explosion in his lab before rescuing the girl.
