ShareASale is an affiliate marketing network based in Chicago, IL USA. ShareASale services two customer sets in affiliate marketing: the affiliate, and the merchant.

Affiliates use ShareASale to find products to promote, and earn commission for referrals on those products. Affiliates use their own website, blogs, PPC campaigns, SEO campaigns, RSS and email, as well as a number of other means.

Merchants use ShareASale to implement, track, and manage their affiliate program.

Company history

ShareASale was founded in 2000 by Brian Littleton, and to date has over 2,600 merchant programs[1] hosted on its network platform. Advertisers who are using the ShareASale services include the University of Minnesota, uBid and Bozai Boy of New York. ShareASale is primarily targeting small and mid-size merchants. ShareASale is among the largest U.S. affiliate networks in terms of number of advertisers who are using an affiliate network to manage their affiliate program.[2] [3]

The Company's Role in Combating Adware

ShareASale's affiliate network is an Adware free network - not accepting any affiliate who used Adware or similar software products (desktop software) to place ads[4]. The networks stance against Adware and other unethical business practices in the affiliate marketing industry was recognized by the industry. The founder Brian Littleton received in August, 2006 the "AFP Fair Practice Award"[5][6] and in January 2007 the "Affiliate Summit Pinnacle Award" for "Affiliate Marketing Advocate"[7] at the Affiliate Summit West 2007[8] industry tradeshow and expo.ShareASale
