Shamgarh is a town and a nagar panchayat in Mandsaur district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It is an important railway station on Delhi-Mumbai Railway track where Almost every train (except Rajdhani Express) stops.

Shamgarh is located at [1]. It has an average elevation of 459 metres (1505 feet). It is near to Mandsaur. Shamgarh is famous for Jangda Porwal's. There are so many families residing here belongs to Porwal Community. It is one of the Hindu Communities.
