Shalabam is a 2008 Malayalam film by Suresh Palanshery starring Sudheesh, Ramya Nambeeshan, Kaithapram, etc.
Hari is the only son of Kumaran who runs a local tea stall in a village. Meera is Hari's childhood friend who still loves to be with children. Hari earns a degree and a government job at a young age itself.
Meera had interest on Hari, but Hari only saw her as a friend. Later Hari marries a wealthy girl from the village called Akhila. The marriage of Hari induces a lot of ill happenings in the life of Meera. Villagers started believing that Meera is mentally ill. Gradually the villages start to be unfriendly to Meera and her mother. The rest of the film is about the future of Hari, his wife and Meera.
