Settlers' Green Outlet Village, founded in 1988, is an outlet shopping center in North Conway, New Hampshire, which was built in the location of the former White Mountain Airport (New Hampshire). It offers a large selection of tax-free outlets.
Settlers' Green was developed on the site of the former White Mountain Airport, which was purchased in 1985 from Wylie Apte. The outlet village began with 30-store retail square, built at a cost of $8 million and 75 percent leased by November 1988.[1]
Major tenants in the center's early years included Banana Republic, Eddie Bauer[2], and Brookstone, whose first US outlet store opened at Settlers' Green in May 1990.[3] Other major retailers with outlet stores at Settlers' Green include Brooks Brothers, HanesBrands, Gymboree, Lane Bryant, Nike, and Zales.
