Servcorp

Servcorp Limited (ASX: SRV) is a Public Company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange who provide serviced office and virtual office products to markets in Australia, New Zealand, China, South East Asia, Japan, Europe, The United States and the Middle East.

Servcorp operates by obtaining entire floors in premium office towers around the world; dividing and refitting them into offices that accommodate between one and 10 people.^[1] The office space provided by Servcorp is often accompanied by secretarial and IT support serviced in prestigious buildings around the world.^[2]

Servcorp also offers Virtual Office solutions which provide the address, telephone numbers, IT and secretarial support of an office without the physical space. Servcorp has registered and owns a trademark for the phrase "Everything but the office" which it uses for advertising the Virtual Office product offering.^[3]

History

• Servcorp is the worlds first serviced office company and was founded by Alfred Moufarrige in 1978.^[4]
• Servcorp listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in 1999 (ASX: SRV).

Export business

• Servcorp is now the leading Australian employer in Japan with 130 Tokyo staff.^[5]
• Servcorp currently exports to 12 countries outside of Australia.
• Office Squared (a Servcorp Subsidiary) also exports to Malaysia ^[6]

Technology

• Office Squared Ltd (a Servcorp subsidiary) rose to media attention in 2008 after signing a partnership agreement with MSC Malaysia (a Malaysian Government Initiative - who are developing a projected named i-City Malaysia) to develop, install and maintain the information and technology in the i-City to enable plug and play technology, true-broadband and instant customer service facilities to be available everywhere within the city.^[7]
• Servcorp garnered much media attention when it announced a partnership with Cisco Systems to roll out IP Phone services to all of it’s customers in Beijing, Tokyo, Paris, Singapore and Sydney^[8]
• Servcorp has developed and maintains several proprietary software packages that are exclusively provided for the use of their clients these include; Email Spam Control^[9] and a Hottdesk (an internet based platform that allows the delivery of services and products online - in real time).^[10]
