Sergio Ramírez is a Mexican footballer. He currently plays for FC Ararat Yerevan in the city of Yerevan in the Armenian Premier League.[1][2]

Sergio Ramírez started in Mexican football with San Luis, Sergio was the third goalkeeper in the team that got promoted to first division behind Christian Martínez and Edmundo Ríos. He also played with Estudiantes de Santander and Lagartos de Tabasco in second division. Sergios' last team in Mexico was Vaqueros de Ixtlán in Segunda División.
Sergio and Enrique López, both from Vaqueros de Ixtlán arrived in Armenia for a trial with FC MIKA in First Division, at the end for the 2007 season they signed with FC Bentonit Ijevan in the Armenian First Leaguewhich is the second level of Armenian football.
After a good year with FC Bentonit Ijevan, he transferred to Ulisses. He became the first Mexican goalkeeper to play in league that could qualify for a UEFA competition. He is transferred to FC Ararat Yerevan in 2008.
In May 2008, the team qualified for th UEFA Champions League when they won the Armenian Independence Cup by defiting FC Banants 2-1.
