They won the Florida Tag Team Titles and feuded with Steve Armstrong and Tracy Smothers.[1][2]
In 1987, they went to the NWA's Jim Crockett Promotions and started a feud with the Rock 'N Roll Express. The feud was cut short when they were injured in a car wreck and Champion was unable to return for quite some time. Royal came back right away as a singles wrestler. Royal refused, Champion came back and they feuded briefly with the Midnight Express.[2] Royal left wrestling not long after this to become a construction worker. He made brief tours in New Japan Pro Wrestling, starting in 1993.
He returned to wrestling in 2001 in NWA-Wildside to team with Rusty Riddle as "Total Destruction".
