Sean Riley & The Slowriders

Sean Riley & The Slowriders is a portuguese band from Leiria with a sound close to music of americana roots such as folk, rock and blues. The band is slated to represent Portugal at the 2010 Eurosonic Festival.^[1]

History

Afonso Rodrigues, the front-man, started out by writing songs on his own under the alter-ego Sean Riley. While DJing at Rádio Universidade de Coimbra he met other radio hosts, Bruno Simões (ex-Tu Metes Nojo) and Filipe Costa who joined in.^[2] Filipe Rocha was the fourth musician to complete the band.
