It stars the robot D-Tritus as the protagonist, and as the game progresses, is involved in investigating a series of bizarre murders targeted at the city's most powerful figures in the areas of law enforcement, politics, finance and religion. With help from an unknown stranger, D-Tritus must uncover the reason and source behind the murders before all of Scrapland comes under control of the perpetrator.
Scrapland received mixed to positive reviews. The PC version of the game has received a 72 on Metacritic with the Xbox version receiving a 73. Gameinformer gave the game a 6.5, saying "Worst of all, however, are the on-foot sections - which would appear to be in the game for the sole purpose of annoying people. Scrap indeed." IGN gave the game a more positive score, awarding it with a 8.2, saying "I would have liked to have seen more variety and lateral flexibility in the single-player... Overall, the game's refreshing sense of personality wins out over everything else."
