Scott Metzger (born 12 October 1977 in Trenton, New Jersey) is an American guitarist.

Biography

Scott Metzger (born October 12, 1977) is a Brooklyn, New York based guitarist. Upon hearing him play at a festival in 2002 James Brown, the Godfather of Soul, told Scott that his guitar playing is "Frightening! I swear you play so much guitar it scares me!" Metzger has performed, toured, and or recorded with Joss Stone, ?uestlove, Warren Haynes and Gov't Mule, Craig Finn (of The Hold Steady), Joe Satriani, WEEN, Soulive, The Stanton Moore trio, Particle, Ginger (of The Wildhearts) and others...

His sound is a combination of his biggest musical influences-Eddie Hazel, Danny Gatton, Wes Montgomery, Johnny "Guitar" Watson, Richard Thompson, Jimi Hendrix and the entire Stax recording label catalog.[1]
