Schistura is a genus of ray-finned fish in the subfamily Nemacheilinae (sometimes treated as a distinct family). All members of Schistura live in stream and river habitats; some inhabit caves.[1]

Species

The genus as presently delimited contains 184 species. Most of these fish were until recently placed in Nemacheilus.[2]
