The Save Our Seas Foundation is an international non-profit charitable organization headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, which aims to "support diverse programmes of education, protection and conservation all around the world."[1]
Educating the next generation ‘‘is the core investment that Save Our Seas is making into worldwide projects”.[2]
There are many projects which have already been funded by the Save Our Seas Foundation all over the world.
All money invested in these projects are encouraging action on preservation and protection plans for now and the future. The Save Our Seas Foundation is making a difference through creating a natural reserve through research and projects and examples of these are, supporting research trips e.g. to collect unique manta rays DNA samples from Mexico, Sponsorship of SharkWorld, which is a modern gallery at the South African Museum of natural history which shows where species originated from, Providing a patrol boat to arrest illegal fishing, Releasing Maxine which is a ragger tooth shark, researching the behaviour of the white shark and lots more.[3]
Save Our Seas are carrying out projects as well as educating the world on the importance of the Sea through documentaries, books, booklets and programmes for schools all over the world, interactive website for teachers as well as websites for kids and teens.
