Saturday Live is a BBC Radio 4 show. Its main presenter was Fi Glover until March 2011, when it was announced that Richard Coles would be taking over as the new host from April 2011.[1]
It broadcasts at 9 a.m. on Saturdays. RAJAR figures showed that it was listened to by a weekly audience of almost 1.8 million and was in the top twenty of most listened to non-BBC World Service programmes.
The show uses a magazine format to combine real life stories, poetry, and a studio guest. Guest stars have included Arabella Weir, Will Self, Joan Bakewell, Brough Scott, Kirstie Allsop and Stella Duffy.
In May 2008, the programme won Best UK Speech Programme at the annual Sony Radio Academy Awards. The theme music of the programme is taken from the opening bars of Steady, As She Goes by the Raconteurs.
