Sathuvachari (சத்தூவாச்சாரி) ( from Sathuvachari சத்தூவாச்சேரி ) is zone headquarter of vellore city municipal corporation.It is located in the east of Vellore city in Vellore district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is situated in the bank of Palaar River. Sathuvachari, a well-developed part of Vellore with Collectorate, District Court, Vellore District Co-operative Milk Producers' Union Ltd (Aavin), Vellore District Court, Tamil Nadu Housing Board Quarters, Regional Transport Office, Government and Private Educational Institutions. National Highway passes through Sathuvachari making travel to Chennai and Bengaluru fast and easy.
sathuvachari is one of the posh residential locality in vellore city,especially vallalar,phase-1,2 and 3 areas and azhagiri nagar in A.M.Puram ward are well developed part of sathuvachari zone,vellore corporation.
South avenue road in sathuvachari is the longest straight road which connects phase-2,phase-1 and TVK nagar in rangapuram.several shops and government offices are located here.Another important road in sathuvachari is RTO road,it is busy in all times due to commercial center and some hospitals are located here.
The place got its name from its first resident, Sakthi Aachari when the place was nothing but a barren land. Holy Cross Matriculation Higher Secondary School was founded in 1974. A gym in Sathuvachari is proud of weightlifters who won international competitions.

Sathuvachari has an average literacy rate of 79%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 84%, and female literacy is 75%.
