SaskEnergy is a Crown corporation of the Saskatchewan government which delivers natural gas to 92% of the province through a 67,000 kilometre distribution system to over 347,000 customers.[2] TransGas Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of SaskEnergy responsible for the operation of natural gas pipelines.

The current minister responsible for SaskEnergy is Dustin Duncan.

In October 2008, SaskEnergy was named one of "Canada's Top 100 Employers" by Mediacorp Canada Inc., and was featured in Maclean's newsmagazine. Later that month, SaskEnergy was named one of Saskatchewan's Top Employers, which was announced by the Saskatoon StarPhoenix and Regina Leader-Post newspapers.[3]
