Sasha Bezuhanova is a Bulgarian, Public Sector Director for Central and Eastern Europe at Hewlett-Packard. She is currently running the company's business with the state administrations of 27 countries - Russia, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary and Central Asia countries among others. Prior to accepting this position, she had been General Manager for Hewlett-Packard Bulgaria and succeeded into establishing the company as the leader in the local IT market.[1]

Her international business and operational management experience evolves during the 4 years Country management role for the German medical concern HELLIGE in Bulgaria.
It is under her leadership that Hewlett-Packard develops a series of IT infrastructure project for the country's three biggest telecommunication companies, industrial manufactures, state and public finance institutions. Some of these projects become solutions and references for HP as a whole and contribute to the expansion of the worldwide IT experience of the corporation. The most important of them, getting huge public and international feedback is the implementation of electronic ID for Bulgarian citizens which was key to Bulgaria's acceptance in the EU visa-free countries list in 2001.[2].
Her important accomplishment to date is attracting an investment from the company headquarters for Global Delivery Center in Bulgaria which today employs over 4000 people. That project puts the country on the IT investment map. As a result, Hewlett-Packard has become the largest IT employer in Bulgaria and among the Top 5 in the whole country.[3].
Her professional career starts in the Central Institute for Computer Technologies after graduating her Master's Degree in Electronics at the Technical University of Sofia. She is currently also a Chairperson of the board of Trustees at the university.[4].
Sasha Bezuhanova is proactively involved in the economic and social development of Bulgaria. Her leadership was key to the development of the National ICT Competitiveness Strategy. As Chairperson of the Board of Junior Achievement Bulgaria she works for development of the Entrepreneurial and leadership skills of the Youngsters. She is a Founding Chairperson and a Member of Consultancy Committee of the Confederation of Industrialists and Employers in Bulgaria, Member of the Board of Bulgarian School of Politics, Member of the Advisory Board to the Minister of Education.
