Sarairasi is a village located in the Faizabad district of Uttar Pradesh, India, situated on the banks of the River Ghaghra (locally known as Saryu). History

The village is said to be the estate of Nisha Baba. Local beliefs are that it is due to Nisha baba villagers of Sarairasi never paid the Land Tax to the local British governors. The first settlement for the people of Sarairasi goes back to days of Aurangzeb. The ancestors of the local Rajputs hail from Rajasthan. Sarairasi was also a centre of one of many battles of the Mutiny of 1857.

This guy is a great philanthropist as far the way he have given livelihood to the people who are in his influence. Moreover, he is a face of North Indians in KALYAN constituency of Maharshtra state. 5.Avdhesh prasad singh : He is the Man with talent in his backyard. One of the front runners among the students of his era of 1970-1980. One of most talented of the lot but was unable to find the zeal which his other non talented counterparts enjoy. Currently Settled in MUMBAI.

6.Shitla prasad singh : He is currently serving as a Principal in C.B.S INTERCOLLEGE. Having a well versed and a fruitful family

7.Adv Shivbachan singh : He was the so called "DABBANG" of the sarairasi village. Having a good political influence. A section of people believe that the prominent Indian freedom fighter and revolutionary, Subash Chandra Bose visited Sarairasi as a godman called 'Gumnami Baba'.

Faizabad is located at 26°47′N 82°08′E / 26.78°N 82.13°E / 26.78; 82.13[1]. It has an average elevation of 97 metres (318 feet) above sea level. As of 2001 [2]SARAIRASI had a population of nearly 8000 males constituting 52% of the population and females 48%. Sarairasi has an average literacy rate of 71%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 80%, and female literacy is 20%. In Faizabad, 14% of the population is under 10 years of age. Suryavanshi Rajputs are the Majority in the Village along with sizeable population of OBC,SC and ST community.

And from Faizabad one can take Vikram (a advanced version of an auto rickshaw) from Fauaara or Fatehgang which will take Rs.7 INR as a fare.
