Sara Ziff (born in New York City) is an American filmmaker and fashion model. With her co-director Ole Schell, Ziff chronicled her modeling journey in the award-winning documentary Picture Me.[1][2] The documentary gives an inside look into the modeling industry, showing the highs and lows of a seemingly glamorous business, and even uncovering cases of sexual abuse. Ziff has become an advocate for better working conditions for fashion models.[3][4] After Picture Me, Ziff realized a three-part web mini-series[5] for the modeling blog of New York Magazine, "The Cut".[6] The mini-series tackle subjects of extreme youth in modeling, lack of racial diversity on the runway, and the pressure to be thin.
