Samuel Curtis

Samuel Curtis (born in Walworth, Surrey on August 29th 1779-died at La Chaire, a sunny, sheltered, rocky valley facing the sea at Rozel Bay on the island of Jersey, on January 6th 1860[1]) was a English botanist who specialised in Spermatophytes.

The standard author abbreviation S.Curtis is used to indicate this individual as the author when citing a botanical name.[2]
