Sampige is a village in Dandinashura hobali (Tumkur district - [[turvekere]-[taluk]]Karnataka - India). Sampige village has a beautiful Srinivasa Swamy Temple which is renowned as "Sampige Srinivasa". Every Year there is a Car festival where thousands of people get together and celebrate. There are lot of kannada films which are picturized in this location for the temple premises.

Sampige is also the Kannada name of a tree. Sampige or Champak trees are tall, have a dense foliage,and bear highly aromatic yellow or orange flowers. They belong to the family of Magnoliaceae, and the Latin name is Michelia champaca. They flower mainly from March to June. The village Sampige has borrowed its name from this tree, Sampige meaning Land of Champak Flowers, Champakapuri in ancient times.
