Samantha O'Grady (born 12 June 1987) is a British actress, based in Watford. She is best known for playing Kathy McIlroy in the BBC TV school drama Grange Hill from 2001 until it ended in 2008. Although Kathy left Grange Hill as a pupil in 2007, she returned for the final series to play a member of staff.
Prior to Grange Hill, Sammy played Sandra Bloggs in the BBC children's series Monster TV, Sharon in ITV's The Bill, and Hannah in the film Hungry For My Baby, alongside Albert Finney. She has also appeared in TV advertisements for Asda and had several guest appearances on Comic Relief and CBBC.[1] In 2009 she joined Northern soap Riverstone as Frankie Benson.
She is currently represented by Duncan Millership at Peters, Fraser and Dunlop.
