Samer al-Masry (also spelled Samer al-Masri, Arabic: سامر المصري) is a Syrian actor born August 3, 1961 in Damascus, Syria. He is best known for his lead role in the Syrian drama Bab al-Hara.[1]
Career
He has performed in Theater and film but is best known for his work in television and his lead role in Bab al-Hara.
- Theater: Ismael Hamlet, Zakerat al Ramad, Masrah al Raseef, and Abyad Aswad
- Films: Fawk al Rammel tahet al shammes, Altuwebi, and al Risala al Akhira
- Television: Razmat Nukud, Haza Karari, Assiad al maal, Jawad al Layl, Bab al-Hara, Bab al-Hara 2, Bab al-Hara 3 and Tammer Henneh. He also starred in Beit Jedi 2 as Abou Hejaz.
His latest television role as the hilarious abu janti the king of taxi (ابو جانتي ملك التكسي (2, which was aired in the holy month of Ramadan (2010), was one of the most popular acts during that month, in which he also showcase his singing talent, and his comic personality.
