The company provides data recovery services, software products and tools for all digital media storage platforms, servers, mainframes, RAID and SCSI Arrays, SAN, NAS, and DAS. The company's customer base includes U.S. Government agencies, Fortune 500 companies, universities, hospitals, nonprofit organizations as well as individual consumers. The company's services are recognized and approved by hardware manufacturers including Alienware, Apple Inc., HP, Maxell, Samsung, Sony and Western Digital.[1]

History

SalvageData was founded in Stamford, Connecticut in 1998 and later relocated their headquarters to Herndon, VA, in 2009. The company has 12 additional receiving and review centers located in Washington, California, New York, Connecticut, Illinois, Massachusetts, Georgia, Texas, Washington, DC, and Canada.

The company services both local and federal government agencies through a 5 year Multiple Award Schedule contract under the U.S. General Services Administration from the federal government (IT Schedule 70).

Operations

SalvageData is the only North American data recovery organization operating in compliance with the International Organization for Standardization’s ISO 9001:2008 and been certified through January 31, 2013.[1]
