Saltash United Football Club is a football club based in Saltash, Cornwall, in the United Kingdom. They were founding members of the South Western League in 1951 and won the title two times in their history. They remained in the South Western League until 1976, when they joined the Western Football League, achieving promotion from Division One to the Premier Division in their first season, before rejoining the South Western League in 1995. They spent the 2004-05 and 2005-06 seasons in the Western League Division One but resigned and returned to the South Western League in 2006. When the South Western League merged with the Devon County League to form the new South West Peninsula League, Saltash became members of the Premier Division of the new competition.

The club has competed in all three of the major FA competitions over the years. In the FA Cup, they have been irregular entrants since 1970. Their most successful season was 1987-88, when they fell one round short of making the First Round Proper, losing to Farnborough Town in the Fourth Round Qualifying. In the FA Trophy, they competed from 1980 to 1993, making the competition proper in two successive seasons in the mid 1980s, while after having been transferred from the Trophy to the FA Vase, their longest run was in 1996-97, when they made the Third Round (last 64).
Project 1000 was officially started on the 26th of September 2011.[1] Project 1000 is an unofficial project which is aiming to increase Saltash United's; fame, income and match attendance. The project is based on 4 key points. Match Attendance: raising the maximum season attendance to 1000, and the average to 500 is a key feature in project 1000 as such a large increase in attendance allows the club to spend more on stadium facilities and enhance the fame on the club. The increase in fame for Saltash United was a requirement and on the 26/10/2011 1 month after the project had started 31 people had "liked" the Facebook page, where Project 1000 was to be staged.
