Salome Reischer (February 19, 1899–1980) was an Austrian female chess master.[1]
In 1937, she tied for 17-20th at the 6th Women's World Chess Championship in Stockholm (Vera Menchik won).[2] After Anschluss, she moved toArgentina ].[3]
In 1939, she tied for 14-16th in the 7th WWCC at Buenos Aires 1939 (Menchik won).[4] After World War II, Reischer came back to Austria. She won thrice Austrian Chess Championship, at Melk 1950, Graz 1952, and Pöchlarn 1954.[5]
She was awarded the Woman International Master title in 1952.[6]
