Saint Italo was a saint to martyrdom, and was almost disowned. He was born between 400-535 AD, and died at the time of the Great Persecution against Christians (477-535)[1]. There is a possibility that he was killed because he was Catholic. Not much is known about Saint Italo. He probably lived to the South of Lazio.[2] Due to this, there is a possibility, that he could be a patron saint to towns within that area. The name Italo comes from Italus, a legendary hero. Saint Italo is celebrated on the 19th of August, but if occasionally subjected to change.[3b]
