Sagla

The Sagla are a Jat found in the province of Punjab in Pakistan.[1]

History and origin

The Sagla claim to be Panwar Rajputs, claiming descent from a Raja of Dharanagar. They are said to have settled in Punjab, during the reign of the Mughal Emperor Akbar. They are now found settled in Sahiwal District, owning several villages near Idalwala.[2]
