Safooran Goth or Safoora Goth or Safora Goth (Urdu: صفورا گوٹھ ) is one of the neighbourhoods of Gulshan Town in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan.[1]
Safooran Goth located at the tail of University Road, Cantonment Area of Malir, Karachi Airport/ Gulistan-e-Johar , Super Highway and Karachi University is located on the East, South, North and West respectively. The major area of it comes under Union Council 13 of Gulshan-e-Iqbal Town. As it is present at the tail of University Road and according to many people this area is far away from the city but it is well developed, non polluted and safe area for living as compare to other locations of the city.
The neighbourhood of Safooran Goth are Rizwan Society, Bliss Homes, Johar Complex, City Villas, Sunley Homes, Sumaira Bungalows, Harron Banglows, Zehra Nagar, Rizvia Society Phase-II and Chapel City. Karachi Institute of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine (KIRAN) is also located at Safoora Goth.
There are several ethnic groups in Safoora Goth including Muhajirs, Punjabis, Sindhis, Kashmiris, Seraikis, Pakhtuns, Balochis, Memons, Bohras, Ismailis, etc. Over 99% of the population is Muslim. The population of Gulshan Town is estimated to be nearly one million.
