Syed Rumman Bin Wali Shabbir(Bengali: সাব্বির), is a former Bangladeshi footballer and Cadre. He played for Mohammedan Sporting Club in the Dhaka domestic league during the 1980s and 1990s.
At his peak, Shabbir was regarded as one of the country's finest midfielders. He possessed exceptional ball-handling skills and frequently terrorized opposition defences with his jinking runs and mazy dribbles. The Mohammedan fans adored him, while their greatest rivals Abahani feared and respected him in equal measure. Although his career was interrupted by injury, he left a lasting impression on the domestic game.
He made several appearances for the Bangladesh national football team, appearning in the 1990 FIFA World Cup qualifying rounds.[1]
