Rushere is located approximately 71 kilometres (44 mi), by road, northeast of Mbarara, the largest city in the sub-region.[1] The location is approximately 12 kilometres (7.5 mi), by road, east of Kiruhura, the district headquarters.[2] The coordinates of the town are:00 12 36S, 30 56 24E (Latitude:-0.2100; Longitude:30.9400).
