Ros an Mhíl or Ros a' Mhíl (anglicized as Rossaveel or Rossaveal)[1] is a Gaeltacht village in the Connemara area of County Galway, Ireland. It is the main ferry port for the Aran Islands in Galway Bay. It is about 23 kilometres (14 mi) from Galway City centre.
The name Ros an Mhíl translates from Irish as "peninsula of the whale/sea monster".
It is served by Bus Éireann route 424 from Galway City.
Ros a' Mhíl is the home of the Ros a' Mhíl center under Coláiste Chamuis.
