History

Rosebery School sits on an area of land given to the borough by Lord Rosebery, along with the nearby Rosebery Park. It is the product of the amalgamation of Rosebery Grammar School for Girls and Epsom County School for Girls. There is a rumor it could turn into an academy.

Houses

At Rosebery that have different houses to organize the pupils. Those houses are; Emerald, Sapphire, Diamond and Ruby. When a new child joins they will be put into a house and become part of it throughout their time at the school, however if a pupil joins and they have siblings then they will automatically go into the house their sibling went into.

Uniform

All girls in the lower school, years 7-11, wear a uniform. It is recognised for its kilt and its navy blue jumper with the red primrose on it, this is said to reflect the Tudor rose. The school was founded by Lord Rosebery and Hannah Primrose, Countess of Rosebery who also used their family tartan for the initial uniform. Girls will also, depending what house they're in, will wear a primrose badge in that color.

Specialist status

In 2006, Rosebery was awarded a specialist status for Mathematics and ICT. Due to this they installed a 'vle' (a Virtual Learning Environment), which enables the students and staff to post work and information that is available both at school and home.
