Robert N. Shelton
Robert N. Shelton (born 1948) was the president of the University of Arizona. Before beginning his position on 1 July 2006, he served as the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His starting salary at Arizona is reportedly $550,000. In mid-June 2011, he announced he will be resigning to begin directing the Fiesta Bowl.[1]
An expert in condensed matter physics, he received his B.S. from Stanford University and his M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of California, San Diego.
