Robert Léger is responsible for writing many of the québécois group Beau Dommage's biggest hits.[1] He, along with Pierre Huet and Michel Rivard studied at l'Université de Québec à Montréal as part of the Quenouille Bleue, a theatre group at the school, during the early 70s.[2]
Léger, along with Huet and Rivard, is attributed as one of the main talents of the folk-rock group, Beau Dommage, and has written a large number of the bands popular songs from their self-titled debut album, Beau Dommage. While they were largely popular during the mid seventies, they reformed on a number of occasions in the eighties and early nineties and are still popular amongst the Québec population today.[3]
While Léger no longer makes music, he now holds teaches song writing at the National School of Music at the CÉGEP of Granby, Québec.[4]
