Robert Cutlar Fergusson (1768–1838) was a Scottish lawyer and politician. He was 17th Laird of the Dumfriesshire Fergussons, seated at Craigdarroch (Moniaive, Dumfriesshire).
He served as Attorney-General of Bengal; MP for the Stewardtry of Kirkcudbright, Judge Advocate General and a Privy Councillor.
The great Bengal entrepreneur Dwarkanath Tagore was apprenticed under him in 1810, and Fergusson was one of the 2 leading influences in his life.[1]
