Ripieno

Ripieno (Italian pronunciation: [riˈpjɛːno], Italian for stuffing) or tutti (Italian for everybody) can refer to:

• the larger of the two ensembles in the concerto grosso. This is opposed to the concertino which are the soloists.^[1]
• the notes added when realizing the figured bass of a basso continuo.
• "ripieno concertos", which are like early symphonies in that there is not usually any dominant soloist.
• an organ stop.^[1]

It can also refer to the main body of orchestra in early orchestral music, although this use is today often disregarded.
