Rio Rancho High School or (RRHS) is a public senior high school of the Rio Rancho Public Schools. Located in west central Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Established in 1997, Much of the money to build RRHS was appropriated by the Intel Corporation. RRHS obtained most of its students from nearby Cibola High School in Albuquerque. Enrollment at the school stands at 2,359.[1]
The Mascot of RRHS is the Ram, their colors are: Navy blue, hunter green, and white.[2]

RRHS is organized into 5 academies:
A shift in the graduation requirements was implemented starting with the class of 2011, resulting in 28 credits needed to graduate vs. the 29 previously implemented. A typical schedule consists of 8 periods; including one lunch, one advisory class, two electives and four core courses. Students will also need to take an Advanced Placement class in order to graduate.

In 2008, due to overcrowding Rio Rancho Public Schools built the new V. Sue Cleveland High School, which opened in August 2009.
In 2009, incoming 9th through 11th grade students that resided south of Northern Blvd began attend Rio Rancho High School and all residing north of Northern Blvd began to attend V. Sue Cleveland High School. The class of 2010, continued to attend Rio Rancho High School regardless of where they resided in Rio Rancho.
President Barack Obama hosted a town hall at the high school on May 14, 2009 regarding credit card reform.[3][4]
RRHS competes in the New Mexico Activities Association (NMAA), AAAAA school in district 1. Their district includes: Cibola High School, Volcano Vista High School and V. Sue Cleveland High School.[5]
RRHS has caputured 22 State Championships, all in AAAAA.
