Richmond Hill Road is a major east-west artery in central Staten Island, New York City. It is approximately 1.70 miles (2.74 km) long, and runs through the neighborhoods of Richmondtown, Lighthouse Hill, Heartland Village, and New Springville.

Between Forest Hill Road and Richmond Avenue, Richmond Hill Road is lined by condominiums and apartment buildings and between Arthur Kill Road and Forest Hill Road, Richmond Hill Road is lined by parkland. This area is known as the Staten Island Greenbelt and LaTourette Park. Consisting of one lane in each direction, Richmond Hill Road is an important corridor, servicing the Staten Island Mall and Historic Richmond Town, New York City's only colonial village.[1]

Landmarks along Richmond Hill Road include St. Andrew's Episcopal Church located at 40 Old Mill Road and Richmond Hill Road, Staten Island, New York 10306.[2]

Richmond Hill Road's eastern end is known colloquially as Snake Hill because of its twists and turns. Recently the New York City Department of Transportation began studying possible realignment plans for this section of the road.[3]

In the planning of the new Fresh Kills Park, the New York City Department of Transportation and the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation have also studied the possibility of extending Richmond Hill Road through the former landfill, and connecting it to the West Shore Expressway.[4]
