At the time Ángel Acevedo was working for WOAY Saturday Night Wrestling. Ángel Acevedo got the call to Stampede Wrestling. Richie did not see his father until 1989.[1]

School

He graduated Oak Hill High School and the Fayette Plateau Vo-Tech on June 2, 1989, little did he know 18 days later, he would be starting a legendary career.[1]

Starting Professional Wrestling

Richie went to go see his dad after he graduated, he went up to Canada at a wrestling show on June 20, 1989 for Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling that was run by Emile Dupre. Emile was a guy short, and Richie knew little about the business, but did not want to let his father down, so he wrestled.
