Rhodamnia is a genus of rainforest trees and shrubs in the myrtle family. The name is derived from the Greek Rhodon which means "rose". And aminon, "bowl" where the blood of lambs was poured after sacrifice. It refers to the bowl shaped calyx tubes.[1] Leaves are opposite and mostly three veined in appearance. The fruit is a small berry with a few seeds.

There are around 28 species of Rhodamnia.[2] They are found in China, New Caledonia, New Guinea and Australia.
