Rheophile
A rheophile is an organism that prefers to live in fast moving water.
Examples of rheophilic animals
Insects
- Many aquatic insects living in riffles require current to survive.[1]
- Epeorus sylvicola, a rheophilic mayfly species (Ephemeroptera).
