History

Their debut album, Köledoyuran was released in 2000, on Ada.[1] Their second album, Dadaruhi followed in 2002. After signing with Doublemoon records, the band released their third studio album, Avaz in 2005. The album was produced by Wharton Tiers, known for his work with bands like Sonic Youth, a great influence on Replikas' work. The band opened for Sonic Youth at their first Turkish concert in May 2005.

Repilkas provided the soundtrack for the films Maruf and İki Genç Kız. The band contributed a live version of "Şahar Dağı" to Fatih Akın's 2005 documentary on the Istanbul music scene, Crossing the Bridge: The Sound of Istanbul.

The movie soundtracks were collected in the CD titled "FM / Film Muzikleri", released by Pozitif in 2006.

Their last effort "Zerre", produced by the band, was released by Peyote Music in December 2008. The band continues to play live in Turkey and abroad. Their sixth studio album is scheduled to be released in fall 2011.
