Renison University College is a public college with a strong affiliation with the Anglican Church of Canada. It is located in Waterloo, Ontario. It is federated with the University of Waterloo. Renison College was incorporated on January 14, 1959, by a charter of the Province of Ontario. The college is located on 240 Westmount Road North, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada N2L 3G4.

History

The College was named in memory of Robert John Renison, 1875-1957, a former Metropolitan of Ontario and Bishop of the Anglican diocese of Moosonee. In July 2008, it gained permission to expand its name to Renison University College, reflecting its close status to UW. [2]

Academics

On July 1, 1960, it entered an affiliation with the University of Waterloo with the right to offer courses and undergraduate programmes in Arts and the Social Sciences for credit towards the Bachelor of Arts degree of the University. Recently it has also developed programs in East Asian Studies, Islamic Studies and a post-B.A. Bachelor of Social Work program.
