Reminderville is a village in Summit County, Ohio, United States. The population was 2,347 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Akron Metropolitan Statistical Area.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 2.0 square miles (5.2 km2), of which, 2.0 square miles (5.2 km2) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.10 km2) of it (0.99%) is water.

Demographics

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 2,347 people, 917 households, and 672 families residing in the village. The population density was 1,178.2 people per square mile (455.4/km²). There were 937 housing units at an average density of 470.4 per square mile (181.8/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 94.72% White, 2.77% African American, 0.68% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 0.26% from other races, and 1.53% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.72% of the population.

There were 917 households out of which 38.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.0% were married couples living together, 9.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.7% were non-families. 23.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.56 and the average family size was 3.05.

In the village the population was spread out with 27.4% under the age of 18, 4.9% from 18 to 24, 35.7% from 25 to 44, 24.8% from 45 to 64, and 7.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females there were 100.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.6 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $56,964, and the median income for a family was $65,676. Males had a median income of $47,083 versus $33,424 for females. The per capita income for the village was $24,477. About 2.7% of families and 4.4% of the population were below the poverty line, including 5.9% of those under age 18 and 10.3% of those age 65 or over.
