After leaving Deck Cheese the members of Sonic Boom Six set up Rebel Alliance originally as an outlet for their forthcoming album Arcade Perfect, which was released in November 2007[1].
After this release the label grew to include other artists who were peers of Sonic Boom Six in the UK's ska and punk rock scene. The first of these being The Babylon Whackers whose Happy Days With... album was released on the label in August 2008[2].
In 2010 the label signed its first international signing in the form of California-based ska musician Chris Murray.
January 2010 saw the start of the inaugural Rebel Alliance Recordings UK Tour, a UK-wide tour featuring four acts on the label: Random Hand, The Skints, Mouthwash and the newly-signed Chris Murray (performing as Chris Murray and Friends and accompanied by Jamie and Jonathan from The Skints).
Several bands left the label over the summer of 2010, which saw the label scale back operations.
